Why do my HotBars blink red right out of the box?
In order to improve safety, all HotBars are stored and shipped in lock mode. The mode button blinks red if somebody tries to turn the unit on while it is in lock mode. Hold the mode button continuously for 5 seconds in order to deactivate lock mode.
If you ever need to ship them again or simply want to lock them for extended travel, hold the mode button continuously for 10 seconds in order to activate lock mode.
How do I install HotBars?
Please seek professional installation if you are not 100% confident with any step of the installation. Installation is nearly identical to a standard handlebar swap. When installing anything where two different components meet each other, it is important to always limit the torque applied to the lower torque specification between the two.
Mount the handlebar to your stem, Mount your controls and grips on, and then make sure both bolts of the external housing are torqued to 4nm. Check out our resources page for a step-by-step guide and video tutorial about how to install the HotBars system on your bike.
